Copy, cut and paste commands have been enhanced to support new features and provide more capabilities. You can now choose the location of the pasted objects and decide whether they have to retain the original layers or be flattened to the current layer.

| Better PDF output |
|
The ability to publish your project as a PDF file has become critical to simplify your workflow and communicate with your partners. We have improved the overall quality of the PDF documents exported from HighDesign.

| Enhanced Printing |
|
Printing now fully supports transparency of images, fills and rectangles, and produces higher quality results. The Print Area tool has also been enhanced and now provides preset page sizes, so you can create print areas that fit exactly the page format of your printer.

| Improved Image Handling |
HighDesign 1.6 provides much improved image handling capabilities.
- Image resizing now applies the Bilinear interpolation algorithm: the resized image is much smoother and closer to a real optic zoom.
- Rotating an image, of any resolution, is much faster than before.
- Once rotated, images display amazingly fast.

| Improved Drafting Quality |
Several new features and enhancements produce an improved drafting quality:
- Dashed lines now have a dash mark on both endpoints, in order to create continuous corners.
- Arcs and circles display more accurately
- Dense hatch patterns, visible when the zoom factor is small, now display as semi-transparent fills so that the items behind are always visible.

| Easier Layers |
In the Drawing Manager, you can edit the properties of unselected layers with one click.
Several internal optimizations have added more reliability and speed in many operations.
When you delete a layer, you can choose what to do with its items.
When setting a new layer to the selected objects, a pop-up window tells you exactly how many objects have been moved to which layer.

| More Productivity |
Many improvements have been made to different tools of HighDesign 1.6, in order to increase productivity and efficiency. Also, many optimizations contribute to an overall faster performance of redraws and tool responsiveness.
The interface has been updated as well to provide better use of the available space, closer adherence to the Apple Aqua guidelines and a smoother workflow.
